Winter Indoor Training
We are currently running age-based training at Carmel Sports Center - Saturdays & Sundays, dates and times TBD

These trainings are a great way to shake the rust off (veterans) or to learn the basics of Gaelic Football for any newcomers.
Have a friend (or 4) that is interested in learning more about the sport? Bring them along! All are welcome!!!

The NYMB is running a 6-week Virtual program beginning the week of Monday, February 15. Underage Gaelic Football and Hurling/ Camogie training will take place via Zoom.

U7 Training (Football and Hurling) 7.00/ 7.30pm - Monday 15th February - Delivered by Micky Quigg.
U9 Training (Football and Hurling) 7.00/ 7.30pm - Tuesday 16th February - Delivered by Micky Quigg.
U11 Training (Football and Hurling) 7.00/ 7.30pm - Wednesday 17th February - Delivered by Micky Quigg.
U13 Training (All Codes) 10am - Saturday 20th February - Delivered by Simon Gillespie.
U15/ U17 Training (All Codes) 11am - Saturday 20th February - Delivered by Simon Gillespie.
All participants must sign up via the link below beforehand. You will be emailed a link/access code on the day of your training. Registration links will close 1 hour before each training session - then an email will be sent out. Please make sure all email addresses are submitted correctly
Younger age grades need a football, a hurl and sliotar/sock and a wall/ partner for U7/ U9/ U11
Please make sure there is adult supervision. Players need adequate space (4 metres by 4 metres) WiFi access and a laptop/ tablet/ phone.
These sessions will include fundamental movements alongside essential skills in Gaelic Games, and fitness/ strength and conditioning for the older age grades.
This year Youth Gaelic Football is switching from even numbers to odd numbers (U7, U9, U11, U13,U15, and U17). All Clubs, County Boards, and Youth Boards worldwide are realigning their teams to odd numbers.
All of our teams from Fall 2020 will still be together, e.g. U12 in 2020 will now be U13 in 2021

Girls can play "down" 1 year with the NYMB age groups through U13, e.g. a girl turning 14 in 2021 can play NYMB U13

WestPut Setanta will be fielding Co-ed teams as follows: U7, U9, U11, U13, U15 (w/ Celtics), U17
WestPutSetanta will be fielding Girls teams as follows: U13, U15, Junior Ladies (for girls turning 16 in 2021 and up)

NYMB games are scheduled to start on Sat April 10

We would like to thank everyone who participated, coached and volunteered to make this our biggest and best Summer Camp so far! It was great catching up with our friends and making new friends too! WestPut Setanta is off to Philadelphia for the annual CYC tournament which is the largest competition outside of Ireland🏐 We can’t wait to show off all the skills we learned at this years camp.

With our Spring Season just around the corner, we wanted to share dates for some events and tournaments that are coming up this year.
We will be resuming outdoor practices as soon as weather permits. Hopefully within a week of so. Please look our for emails from your respective coaches on an exact start date
The first games of the spring season championship will start for all ages on 4/14/2018. Please look out for the schedules which will be posted later this week.

July 14, 2018 - Rockland U8 Denis McHugh Tournament
July 21, 2018 - Liberty Bell Tournament (Philadelphia)
September 9, 2018 - New Haven McCabe Cup U18
We will have our annual Gaelic Football "CUL"Camp from July 16th - July 20th from 3-7 PM daily. We may add an addition 3 days the following week for additional CYC preparation
2018 CYC is in Boston this year. Dates are August 1-5, 2018. The address is the Irish Cultural Centre, 200 New Boston Drive,Canton,MA. We will be entering teams in all age groups for both boys and girls. This is the biggest tournament of the year in the United States and the kids always have a fantastic time
Fall season will resume on the first week of September. There will be various tournaments during the fall season, dates to follow
Our 2018 Dinner Dance will be held this year on November 10th 2018 a the Villa Barone Hilltop Manor in Mahopac.
Its already shaping up to be a busy fun filled year. We look forward to seeing everyone on the fields over the next couple of weeks.
Registration is now open for the 2018 season. We welcome all new and existing boys and girls between ages of 5 - 16 to join the club. We have competitive boys & girls teams at U8, U10, U12, U14 and boys only at U16.
All players must be registered before attending outdoor practice or participating in the spring championship games.
Please note the following eligibility requirements:
Children must be 5 years of age on Jan 1st 2018.
Our youngest members must be attending kindergarten since September 2018
For members in under 8, a parent is REQUIRED to be on the field and AVAILABLE to assist the coaches as needed.
Practices will be on Monday's at the Airport Field in Carmel @ 6 PM.(Directions can be found here for The Airport Field) & on Friday's at the Harvey School in Katonah @ 6PM. (Directions can be found here for Katonah.)
We will notify all members when the fields are open and outdoor practice begins.
We expect all participating members to be at practice weekly. We are in an extremely competitive league this season and all players need to work together weekly to remain competitive on the field.

This is the full recording of the U10 A division final on Saturday Vs St Barnabas. Even though we were not the winner on the day, this recording shows the skill, determination and sheer passion that the kids on our team brought to the field. Please show your kids the game and take pride in how they played.
Congratulations to our very own Sophie McLaughlin who captured the imagination of everyone at the 2017 CYC in Buffalo, NY. Sophie play's on our U8 girls team, who won the A Division title at CYC. What a great ambassador for WestPut Setanta and Gaelic Football.
This week, we started our 2017 Indoor Winter Program. We have over 70 kids registered and participating from U8 through U14. This years program is already a huge success, with many new children coming in all age groups to learn the game. Thanks to all the coaches who are giving their time to help at all age groups - this cannot happen without you.
